Executive Summary

OpenAI has shifted the AI security paradigm from detection to remediation with the launch of GPT-5.5-Cyber and the "Patch the Planet" initiative, which autonomously generates patches for critical infrastructure vulnerabilities. In the open-source and local AI space, Chinese models like GLM-5.2 and StepFun's Step 3.7 Flash are gaining significant traction, outperforming Western closed-source models on local hardware like the DGX Spark. Simultaneously, agent frameworks are maturing rapidly, with NousResearch's Hermes adding desktop GUI control and memory plugins, while developer sentiment increasingly favors local inference for privacy and "context engineering" over multi-model routing.

AI Security & Autonomous Patching

We want to help all companies be secure, working with the USG and the security ecosystem. The full version of GPT-5.5-Cyber is here; state of the art performance on CyberGym. Patch The Planet and Codex Security will help solve security problems instead of just finding them. → tweet link

@gdb · 2026-06-22T17:35

We're accelerating patching, in addition to vuln finding, with new tools and models in OpenAI Daybreak. Our models are now discovering and generating patches for critical vulns in major browsers, network infrastructure, and operating systems (such as FreeBSD and the Linux kernel), and patching projects like cURL, Go, Python, Sigstore, and pyca/cryptography. → tweet link

genuinely fucking wild how underrated stepfun's step 3.7 flash is in the dgx spark world. barely anyone's talking about it, and it's the single best model you can run on one spark, full stop. 198B, vision, the full context... → tweet link

@juliarturc · 2026-06-22T16:33

This is what happens when you plug LLMs into voice assistants, instead of a decade of handwritten rules. This video dissects Voxtral (a family of OSS speech models) and the foundational work behind it (audio tokenization, semantic/acoustic disaggregation, etc). → tweet link

@victormustar · 2026-06-22T18:00

LTX-2 trainer is a huge deal. I tried it to add water to the podracers scene using their demo water-sim fine-tune (it's a fine-tune whose only goal is to add water :D) I think we're going to see film productions that don't use general models. They'll train their own fine-tunes... → tweet link

@Ex0byt · 2026-06-21T19:20

China's labs co-share weights, methods, and sources, so I expect MM3.5, DSV4.x, GLM-6 to land by Q4/Q1. Distillation off US closed-source models is also finished, but Ironically I'm not sure that matters anymore: between walled-off access and KYC/IDV gating, we're repelling our own devs onto Chinese APIs. → tweet link

@Ex0byt · 2026-06-22T03:26

interesting take: The dragon’s out of the bag. sans a Llama-5 class OSS model drop soon to counter China’s tsunami of recent amazing drops, Western mindshare and usage continues flocking eastward, with OpenAI and Anthropic’s poor antics and upcoming IPOs. → tweet link

Local AI & Hardware

@sudoingX · 2026-06-22T12:13

every prompt is a window into how you think... you're not the customer, you're the raw material... you'll drop $900 on a phone without blinking, but not a gpu that keeps your thinking in your own room... qwen 3.6 27b dense, one 3090, your thinking stays yours. → tweet link

how good is local ai at 3d in 2026? and i mean actually building it, full scenes from scratch... stepfun 3.7 running local on a dgx spark with no cloud in the loop, an amd box up next. → tweet link

@sudoingX · 2026-06-22T12:35

funny thing about posting honest hardware tests: people actually go buy the hardware. told someone back in may the dgx spark was the move, he bought the spark today. this keeps happening... that's the local ai shift in real time. → tweet link

@gospaceport · 2026-06-21T20:01

You do NOT need $15k (or whatever that is in Euros) to run local LLMs that can absolutely perform. Broken thinking leads to broken outcomes. Look at the EU policies around AI for a perfect example of that. → tweet link

Developer Tools & Engineering

@jezell · 2026-06-22T15:16

So how do all these model routers that are "mythos quality" deal with opaque compaction payloads from the responses API? Oh yeah, they don't. Because the whole idea is a non starter for anything non trivial... The idea is just fundamentally broken. Ain't the future. It's marketing. → tweet link

@thdxr · 2026-06-22T11:48

i have low conviction on model routers... i don't think it's good to not be aware of what model you're using. coding with LLMs is a skill you develop and getting a feel for models is part of that... i dont even know how much you can model route when factoring in things like prompt cache. → tweet link
